About me

Hi, I’m a girl next door, one you pass on the street or sit beside in a church bench.

You can call me Ella but it’s not my real name. All names in this story have been changed to protect the privacy of people involved but everything else is true.

I’m beginning to realise we are living in a world that’s changing fast and our attitudes are changing with it. We are told we can have it all, search for personal happiness at all costs and to take the shortest route to achieve it. We are becoming more self centred, lustfull and blind. Western society reflects this change and the first casualty is marriage and family.

The story I’m sharing happened recently, not too far from you, in our global village. I’m writing about it because it’s burning me on the inside and I believe it can help and inspire some of those who come across it. I’m also sharing because writing it down is part of of my therapy, seeing it all spelled out makes it less scary, but mainly because it’s my way of giving a testimony to the One who saved me, not once but many times and is always there when I need Him. I love seeing Him at work, even in those hard times.

Today I can testify to the words engraved on our wedding rings and on our hearts:
“Take delight in the Lord and He will give you your heart’s desires. Commit everything to to the Lord, trust Him and He will help you.”
Ps. 37:4-5

    1. Thank you for the link Forgiven Cheater, we will certainly take a look at your blog. Although this story is my perspective we are thinking of adding my husband’s side to it too. Even if it is a post or a few comments we feel it is important to do it as it will give an insight into his reasons for the affair.
